Liverpool look set to be busy in the transfer market this summer as Arne Slot’s side prepare to defend their Premier League title next term.
The Merseyside outfit stormed to the top flight title during the Dutchman’s first season in charge of the club, and they have since added Jeremie Frimpong to Slot’s squad after Trent Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid.
The Reds have also been linked with moves for a number of players since the transfer window reopened on Monday, but it has now emerged that a current England star is keen to join the club.
As per Football Insider, Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has informed friends that he would prefer a move to Liverpool over other clubs that are interested in him.
The England centre-back has attracted interest from Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, the report claims, with the Magpies having pursued the player last summer when they had four offers rejected.

Despite Newcastle’s interest, the report suggests that Guehi himself believes he can earn himself a better move than to St. James’ Park and is instead intent on joining a side challenging both domestically and in Europe.
It is also claimed that Liverpool are on the hunt for a new central defender, with Jarell Quansah likely to join German outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
The Reds could then move for Guehi, with the report suggesting that the Merseyside outfit could table a £50 million offer for the player.
Guehi joined the Eagles from Chelsea in 2021 having made just two senior appearances for the Blues.
He has since been a regular for Palace, though, playing 155 times for the South London side and eventually becoming their captain.
The defender is under contract at Selhurst Park until June 2026, but it appears that he could be on his way out of the club this summer instead.
