'One million per cent': TalkSPORT pundit makes bold claim about Alexander Isak and Liverpool

Since the transfer window opened up at the start of June, Liverpool have been linked with a new player almost every single day.

And, while new player links are all well and good, the ones that appear consistently are the ones that fans should get excited about.

One player who has often been linked with a Liverpool move is Alexander Isak, with the transfer rumours around his future heating up every day.

And now, with the likes of Darwin Nunez and Jarell Quansah on the cusp of exiting, it feels like even more big-money moves could be made by Arne Slot and Richard Hughes.

With the way that things have kicked off so far at Liverpool, Slot bringing in even more big-money signings doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

Jason Cundy believes Alexander Isak would be a perfect transfer for Liverpool

One area of Liverpool’s squad that needs strengthening is their strike force, especially if the likes of Nunez and Luis Diaz end up leaving Merseyside.

And, when asked by Jamie O’Hara whether Isak should make the move to Liverpool, Jason Cundy replied with the following.

“One million per cent, they’re going to get a huge fee for him Newcastle, they will because he’s one of the most sought after players in Europe,” he said live on talkSPORT.

“You’ve seen what he’s done in the Premier League, you know he can play in the Premier League, there’s no risk, well there’s always risk but generally, if he signs for Liverpool, you know he’s going to perform.

“In terms of Newcastle, they’ve got to get as much money for him [as possible] if that’s the case, it’s not going to be less than £120million.”

Liverpool must figure out which areas they need to reinforce the most

Liverpool have already been very busy in the transfer market with Jeremie Frimpong having already arrived, and the moves for Milos Kerkez and Florian Wirtz are also nearing completion.

And, even though those moves for each of these players will improve Liverpool’s ranks tenfold, there’s no way the Reds will be able to afford a new striker and centre-back, even if they sell all the players they want to sell this summer.

With this in mind, it feels like Slot needs to make a choice regarding which area of his squad he needs to strengthen more.

Isak’s move to Anfield would round off the perfect transfer window for the Reds, but it would leave them somewhat light at the back, especially if Quansah completes his move to Bayer Leverkusen.

At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what Slot’s team will look like, but one thing is for sure: the Dutchman needs to figure out what his priorities are before it’s too late.
