Kevin Durant Makes Major Offseason Move Before Potential Trade

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant could be traded any day now. The expectation, following recent reports, is that he could be dealt by the NBA Draft.

Regardless, the Suns will move Durant in a timely manner after nearly dealing him at the trade deadline this past season.

Given their 36-46 and No. 11 seed finish in the Western Conference, it was time for Phoenix to make roster tweaks to maximize Devin Booker's prime years.

With Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo no longer being on the reported trade block, all eyes are on Durant.

The 15-time All-Star prefers to land with the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets or Miami Heat, though the Suns have signaled they are going to make the best move for the franchise.

With that, Durant could be dealt to any team that nets Phoenix the best return, though that could very well end up being a team he wishes to land with.

Amid the offseason drama and rumors regarding the Suns forward, Durant has reportedly made a major offseason move, buying a part-ownership stake in Paris Saint-Germain -- a French soccer club.

“Two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant has expanded his relationship with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), investing directly into UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain as part of a strategic partnership that will also see Durant consult on the club’s ‘potential plans’ to expand into basketball," The Athletic reports.

Durant hasn't been shy in the business realm during his career, and this move only adds to his list of business decisions to set up for his post-playing career.

Paris Saint-Germain is the biggest, most successful French soccer club, and, as reported by The Athletic, the club intends to move into the basketball realm.

With the pipeline of French talents to the NBA, it could certainly be a strong move for the club to invest in the sport -- especially with Durant in the mix.
