Manchester United are preparing for major changes in their goalkeeping department this summer, with Andre Onana’s future under serious question.
The Cameroonian, signed from Inter Milan in 2023, has struggled for consistency and composure, prompting the club to reassess their long-term options.
He faced consistent criticism even from former United players last season.
Altay Bayindir is also set to depart after failing to make a Premier League appearance this season, leaving United with a potential vacancy for a new No.1.

And now, a key target’s valuation has been revealed.
According to TuttoMercato, Atalanta have slapped a price tag of around €50 million on Marco Carnesecchi, as United weigh up their preferred successor to Onana.
The Red Devils view the 24-year-old as a serious option should Onana depart, and have already made early contact with the goalkeeper’s representatives.
Carnesecchi, who kept 13 clean sheets last season and recently signed a contract extension until 2028, is not currently expected to leave.
However, that could change if United meet Atalanta’s asking price.

The Serie A side see him as a complete capital gain product of their youth system, meaning a sale would represent pure profit.
While Ederson and Lookman are more likely to depart this summer, Carnesecchi will only be sold for an “indispensable” offer.
Milan are also monitoring him.
However, they are unlikely to meet such a high valuation.
Thus, leaving United as the current front-runners.
