Everton are eyeing a summer move to sign Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson, according to The Sun.
The Toffees are keen to bolster their squad during the summer transfer window as David Moyes looks to put his own stamp on the side following a mixed campaign in 2024/25 where they avoided relegation and finished in mid-table after he replaced Sean Dyche in January.
Several players are expected to depart the club too, including striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and that has left Everton eyeing up potential alternatives to come in.

With Calvert-Lewin expected to move on when his contract expires at the end of the month, Everton are now looking at potential replacements and it has emerged that they are monitoring the situation surrounding Magpies forward Wilson.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at St James' Park and the club have decided against triggering the one-year extension option on his £110,000-a-week deal. However, talks are ongoing about a new deal on lower terms.
But with no agreement found, Everton are now considering him as an option to come into their squad to provide depth and competition for Portuguese forward Beto, who is currently the first-choice option under Moyes.

Wilson also has interest from Saudi Arabia, but as things stand no final decision has been made on his future.
Wilson isn't the only striker Everton are keen on this summer, with a move for Villarreal star Thierno Barry also in their sights. The France youth international has been shining at the Under-21 European Championships currently, and is attracting big interest from several clubs.
Barry is considered to be a 'leading target', but the Spanish club are keen to keep him and are demanding around £40m to allow him to depart.
Wilson would be a much cheaper alternative on a free, while also coming with a good Premier League record throughout his career. However, his injury record is a concern and it's possible that Moyes could look to sign both players in order to allow Youssef Chermiti to leave on loan.
