It was a disappointing season for the Phoenix Suns as they once again struggled to remain competitive in the Western Conference despite their lofty expectations.
Of course, the Suns were expected to be one of the top teams in the West due to their star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, along with having the highest payroll in the NBA.
Instead, they finished 11th in the West with an abysmal 36-46 record which caused them to miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 season.

Due to this, the Suns are expected to make some major changes to their roster this offseason as they are likely to move on from both Durant and Beal to rebuild around Booker.
While trade rumors surrounding Durant have run wild over the last month, former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins released a major report on Friday regarding the Suns’ locker room during the regular season.
According to Cousins, the Suns had multiple fistfights in the locker room during the past season amid their struggles.
After Cousins’ report came out on Friday morning, it did not take long for Durant to respond to his claims on social media.
“I have to contest this 94 footer. This some (expletive) to throw on us,” Durant posted on X. “Yea yea yea we were trash this year ha ha ha but we NEVER got close to this. NEVER.”
Durant did not hold back in his response to Cousins as he tried to clear the air regarding the former Sacramento Kings star’s bold claim.
Of course, the Suns did have a terrible season, which Durant pointed out in his response, but it is highly unlikely that there were multiple fistfights in the locker room, especially with no other reports coming out about it.

Either way, Durant made sure to clap back at Cousins for his claim about what is likely Durant’s soon-to-be former team, as he is expected to be traded this offseason.
