Former Rutgers Basketball Star Ace Bailey has canceled his pre-draft workout with the Philadelphia 76ers, the team that most experts predicted him to get drafted by.
He was scheduled to fly into Philadelphia today to have dinner with the team's front office and conduct a private workout in front of the team's scouts. According to multiple reports, he informed the team late on Wednesday that he would not be attending his workout.
Despite missing his workout, the 76ers are still expected to draft Bailey with the third overall pick. With that being said, a few notable names who analyze the draft are now predicting that Bailey will slide. ESPN NBA draft analyst Jonathan Givony now has Bailey sliding all the way to No.6 where he would get drafted by the Wizards. Givony had Bailey being picked at No.3 before he canceled all of his workouts.
He was once a near-unanimous third overall pick by the major draft analysts. Now that belief is being severely questioned. The main question that needs to be answered is if Bailey’s antics are causing major character concerns in the NBA’s front offices. It will be interesting to see where he lands on draft night.
