Kevin Durant Delivers Strong Message After Reported 'Fistfight' in Suns Locker Room

Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant has become one of the most talked-about names over the past couple of weeks, with several teams exploring options for the two-time NBA champion.

Durant is coming off his 18th season, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game across 62 appearances for Phoenix.

On Friday, former Golden State Warriors center and Durant teammate DeMarcus Cousins joined FanDuel TV for their latest segment of the "Run it Back" show.

During the show, Cousins disclosed details about the Phoenix Suns' locker room issues.

"I don't want to be the guy to report it, but I've definitely heard of some of the negative things in the locker room. There was a couple of fistfights," said Cousins. "There's a lot going on that obviously carries over into the court."

Following Cousins' comments, Durant responded on social media, strongly disputing the claim.

"I have to contest this 94 footer," Durant said. "This some bullshit to throw on us. Yea yea yea we were trash this year ha ha ha but we NEVER got close to this. NEVER."

Durant shut down the rumors immediately, saying, despite the team's struggles, at no point throughout the season did it ever come close to that extent.

He has recently reported being unhappy in Phoenix and listed Miami, Houston and San Antonio as his preferred destinations.

The Phoenix Suns failed to make the playoffs this season and were swept in the first round by Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the prior season.
