EUGENE, Ore. (KPTV) - Five-star recruit Jett Washington, the nephew of the late Los Angeles Lakers legend and NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, has committed to the Oregon Ducks, according to reports.
The Oregon pledge class now stands at nine after Washington chose the Ducks over Alabama and USC on Thursday.
Washington finished his junior season as a safety at Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas with 38 tackles, five interceptions, two pass break ups and a forced fumble.
Oregon reportedly first offered Washington last April and he’s visited Eugene three times; the most recent was an official visit last week.
Washington is ranked as the No. 1 player in Nevada, as well as the No. 2 safety and No. 18 player overall nationally.
