Insider Reveals What He’s Hearing About Jaylen Brown Trade Offers

The Boston Celtics find themselves in an interesting situation heading into the 2025-2026 NBA season.

They were among the title favorites going into this year, but things didn’t quite pan out for them, mostly due to a Jayson Tatum injury in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Instead of being title favorites, some believe the Celtics could have something of a rebuilding year, especially considering Tatum could be out for most, if not all, of the season.

With that in mind, there have been plenty of rumors floating around about trade proposals for some of the Celtics’ other top pieces, which insider Shams Charania noted in a recent appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show.”

“I’m sure teams are throwing crazy offers for guys like Jaylen Brown and Derrick White,” Charania said, adding, “It will take a pretty insurmountable package to get those guys out of Boston.”

In Charania’s eyes, Brown and White are valuable pieces on the Celtics, and it will be a tough sell for the new ownership to get rid of them.

Brown is seen as the Robin to Tatum’s Batman, in a sense, and he could step into the lead role if given the opportunity.

White was a great shooter this year, a strong complementary piece alongside Tatum and Brown, and replacing him could be a tall task.

Losing either of these players would certainly signal a rebuild, and if they get rid of both, somehow, the fanbase isn’t likely to be thrilled.

Tatum’s injury could be a make-or-break moment for this historic franchise, but we’ll soon see what direction the front office decides to turn.
