Our second Stateside episode focuses on both the build-up to and action from our opening Group G clash against Wydad AC.
We first follow Pep Guardiola’s squad as the players finalised preparations at our Baton Roca training headquarters ahead of that key first group outing.
City then made the journey from Florida to Philadelphia and the Lincoln Financial Field match venue where the boss addressed the media at his pre-match press conference.

Then it was down to the serious business of match action itself, with City kicking off our FIFA Club World Cup 2025 campaign against the Moroccan side in a clash staged at the iconic home of the Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning NFL Super Bowl champions.
An early second minute goal from Phil Foden got City up and running before a second strike from Jeremy Doku shortly before half-time helped ensure a crucial 2-0 win – and with it three points to get the Blues firmly in the Club World Cup groove.
