Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho has decided to prioritise a move to a domestic counterpart after head coach Ruben Amorim made it clear that he needs to head through the Old Trafford exit door during the summer transfer window, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.
The Red Devils have already splashed the cash in an attempt to bolster the squad, with Brazilian playmaker Matheus Cunha completing a £62.5million switch from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but there is a desire to also offload big-names who have been deemed surplus to requirements.
Jadon Sancho is among those put on the market by Manchester United, following Chelsea's decision to pay a £5million penalty fee instead of making his initial loan a permanent deal, while Garnacho has also been weighing up his options after discovering that he is not in Amorim's plans.

Garnacho wants to join a Premier League rival from Manchester United this summer, according to GMS sources, as he is still confident that he has the ability to live up to his full potential and prove his worth in the English top flight despite being cast aside by Portuguese tactician Amorim.
The former Sporting boss effectively warned the wide forward that his Old Trafford career is over by insisting he needed to pray that he could find a new club during a team meeting last month, leading to him assessing his future and being eager to pinpoint potential landing spots ahead of next term.
GMS sources have been informed that Garnacho, who enjoyed a productive 2024/25 campaign despite failing to win over Amorim, has signalled that he is keen to stay in the Premier League and that has resulted in intermediaries starting to approach Manchester United's domestic counterparts to ascertain the levels of interest.
Alejandro Garnacho's statistics for Manchester United this season
The Argentina international was coveted by Napoli during the winter transfer window, with the newly-crowned Serie A champions attempting to strike a deal before discussions broke down due to his wage demands, and there is still a possibility that he will be handed a fresh opportunity to head to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
But Garnacho does not want to commit to entering discussions with overseas admirers at this stage due to his desire to remain in England, GMS sources have learned, and he is going to see what options crop up in the coming weeks before earmarking his preferred destination as he prepares to quit Manchester United.

GMS sources have been told that Manchester United may have to drop their original £70million demands to closer to £40million if they want to improve their chances of attracting bidders for Garnacho, while there is still hope that he will seal his departure before Amorim's side travel to Sweden to face Leeds United in a pre-season clash on July 19.
Although the 20-year-old has been described as 'phenomenal' by journalist Ben Jacobs, it is increasingly likely that he has made his final competitive appearance in a Red Devils shirt as there is determination to get him off the books as they search for ways to improve their budget for reinforcements.
Manchester United are frustrated that Garnacho is not prepared to immediately negotiate with sides outside the Premier League as it means they are being forced to wait at a time when they wanted him to leave as soon as possible, GMS sources understand, while they are also seeking a quick resolution over the futures of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Sancho.
