I'm super late to the boat — over a decade left at the dock — but this week I've been binging the John Wick movies ahead of finally seeingBallerina. Everyone told me how good these action films are, and yet they still exceeded expectations. The fight sequences are incredible, but the seemingly effortless world building is what has me truly in awe of this franchise. Meet me on the boat, bring your dog. —Patrick Gomez, Editor-in-Chief

America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders

Another year, another group of talented dancers hoping to join the hardest-working pep squad in show business. In the binge-worthy second season of Greg Whiteley’s Netflix docuseries, viewers meet a new class of hopefuls and reconnect with fan-favorite veterans — some of whom hope the show's popularity will aid them in getting a much-needed pay raise. And Kelli Finglass, DCC’s disarmingly blunt director, pledges to be a bit kinder and gentler to the hopefuls this time around: "I'm trying…to give them productive, motivational feedback." Remember, y'all, she said "trying."—Kristen Baldwin, TV Critic

Benson Boone's American Heart

On his flipping fantastic sophomore album, Benson Boone sips from the Bowie/Mercury cocktail perfected by Harry Styles. But with a dash of R&B on the groovy "Reminds Me of You" and a tinge of Springsteen on "Mr Electric Blue," he's also got a recipe all his own. The Buccaneers

This soapy Apple TV+ period drama levels up in season 2 with secret love affairs, divorce drama, feminist crusades, and eye-popping beautiful gowns. It's Bridgerton meets The Gilded Age, drawing straight from the pages of Edith Wharton to render an addictively consuming series. —Maureen Lee Lenker, Senior Writer

King of Drag

Kings in the White House? Hell no. Kings on TV? All hail! This Revry series, hosted by comedian and drag legend Murray Hill (Somebody Somewhere), brings drag kings to the center of reality competition for the first time. We can't wait to see them rule. —Jillian Sederholm, News Director
