Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United rebuild is moving fast, with a number of high-profile players expected to depart.

The club’s summer overhaul has already seen Matheus Cunha arrive and talks for Bryan Mbeumo advance.

But the focus is also firmly on player sales, as United work to stay compliant with Profit and Sustainability Rules.

The likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are all set to depart the club.

The trio have already been banished from United’s pre season tour.

Another potential outgoing has now made his stance clear.

According to Fabrizio Romano on X, Antony has given priority to a return to Real Betis.

The Brazilian winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Betis, where he rediscovered his form and earned a recall to the national team.

United are aware of the player’s preference, although a formal agreement between clubs is still not in place.

Antony, who cost £86.3 million in 2022 under Erik ten Hag, is willing to take a 30% pay cut to leave Old Trafford permanently this summer.

With two years left on his £150,000-a-week contract, he’s reportedly pushing for a solution that allows him to stay in Spain.

For United, selling Antony for at least £32.58 million is essential to avoid booking a financial loss under PSR.

The 25-year-old’s exit would also free up space and funds to help Amorim continue reshaping the squad into a leaner and more dynamic unit.

🚨🇧🇷 Italian side Como have tried to sign Antony in the recent days but Brazilian winger is giving priority to Real Betis return.

Man United are also aware of Antony’s preference to continue at Betis next season, no club to club agreement yet.
