Jason Fitz with Yahoo Sports hanging out with Greg Olson, not just broadcaster, not just tight end in the NFL at one point, but also co-founder of tight end you.

So let's get to the top of your list for a breakout player.

It can be any position or tight end up to you, breakout player for 2025.

You know, I, I don't know if, you know, breakout's the right word at the tight end position because he had such an incredible year last year in Brock Bauer, I mean, going over 1000 yards.

I, I think back to him in college at Georgia and just how good of a player he really was, um, and, and you say, OK, he's going to come into the NFL.

It won't start.

And he started out just as good, just as dominant, over 1000 yards as a rookie.

He's pretty, pretty remarkable.

Um, I don't think he's gonna surprise anyone.

I think he made the.

Bowl, so not necessarily a breakout.

You know, I think Loveland, uh, who got drafted by out of Michigan, who got drafted by the Bears, um, I think the combination of, of that offense, I think Ben Johnson, obviously being in the controls and a guy who really understands how to play guys to their strengths and how to build the system not only around his quarterback, but around the skill positions and, and protect some of the weaknesses of, of whatever he's dealing with.

I think he's proven that.

I'll be very interested to see as a young tight end coming in.

To the league, how they play to his strengths, how they get him out in space.

I think we're in the golden age right now of tight ends.

Uh, you know, I don't know how many more years we get to enjoy, you know, Kelsey, and then right behind him is Kittle, but we got a lot of really special guys playing the position, Dallas Godter, um, you know, you can go across the league.

If you're a prominent team in this league with a good offenses, more likely than not, you have a prominent tight end, and that's not by, that's not by accident.

I gotta ask, I gotta try and pin you in.

Who's the best tight end in the NFL right now, Greg?

It's a great que, I mean, and I'm not dodging your question, but I mean it sincerely.

It, it really depends on, you know, so many guys are asked to do different things, right?

What, what Kittel's asked to do in, in San Francisco is very unique.

He's a heavy run blocker, but then he's so dynamic with the run after catch, and he can get down field and he's great in space.

You know, what Kelsey's done, I know he's getting up there in age now, but, you know, I, I would argue that Kelsey's had the greatest NFL career.

a tight end in NFL history, you know, my rankings of top guys ever.

I never thought anyone would ever pass, you know, Gonzalez and then obviously what what Bronk was able to do with the postseason and regular season success, maybe not as long as Travis has done.

I think when you add it all up, what Travis has been able to accomplish is, is pretty remarkable.

I mean you can go around the whole league, there's so many guys, but what, what Kittle and Kelsey have been able to do for as long as they've done it, um, you know, again, They're my buddies and I'm, you know, I'm probably biased, but I, I think that those guys are just so unique.

For what their offenses need out of them, there's nobody better.

Greg, I, I'll be honest with you, man.

I lived in Nashville for over 20 years, right?

Like that city knows how to party, but Tight end you last year kind of took the whole city over.

Everybody was having a blast.

What is it about this event that sort of makes the city go wild?

Yeah, Nashville's been a great host, uh, you know, we're going into year 5 now, and, and it's funny to, to feel how far we've got, we've grown from just a simple idea via text message between me, George, and Travis, and, and now here we are 5 years in and, you know, we'll have 80 guys and the growing sponsors and the experience and we have concert parties and it's really a, it's really a special event and and Nashville's been in.

Incredible host, Vanderbilt, where we were able to hold all of our practices and meetings has been wonderful to work with.

So, we're, we're, uh, we're, we're blown away by the response.

We're blown away that guys continue to want to come back and learn and teach and, and, and study with one another and work on their craft, and they could be doing a lot of other things throughout the summer.

So it's a, it's a fun 3 days.

It's a 3 days that we look forward to every summer and it's, uh, it's right around the corner.
