Frank Schwab, where are you on the Chiefs today versus a year ago today?

I mean, they're just gonna be repeat for a while, right?

Like this is a team that could have easily won a 3rd straight Super Bowl.

They went up against Eagles buzz, but they got further than anybody else trying to repeat.

That the foundation is strong.

You get Rashe Rice back, it it it it just seems like a team that's gonna be owning the AFC West for a while.

I know the Chargers are a team I really like with with Jim Harbaugh and all that, and obviously the Broncos made big strides with Sean Payton, but the Chiefs are just who they are and they're gonna win way more one score games than they should, and they're gonna throw off all of the the analytics that say they shouldn't, they're not really this good.

But whatever, they're gonna win probably between 12 and 14 games, win the AFC West again and be a Super Bowl contender, and I think that's just going to be how it is for the next few years.

There's, there's no reason to think there's any big fall coming.

I, I think that they're doing well to restock the shelves.

Xavier Worthy is going to be a playmaker for them, and they, you know, did some things to fix their offensive line issues.

They're just the same.

There's just a metronome at this point.

The the Kansas City Chiefs are a repeat for me, and they will be for a while.

Um, Yeah, I, look, I'm, I'm fine with repeat, you know, I, I think they're at that level now where there's some element of autopilot with, um, you know, Patrick Mahomes and, and Andrew Reid working together, and they've done a good job, I think, of addressing, um, you know, the offensive line this offseason, they've they've remixed it a little bit.

I think, you know, when you look at, um, Whether it's Xavier Worthy, Rashe Rice returning and being healthy, if he is playing at the level he's playing at last year, um, I, I think you could have maybe an all pro caliber, uh, wide receiver if he's a guy who's in there for 17, you know, games and, and still has, uh, the speed and, you know, just everything dynamic that he was starting to round into form.

Um, I, I guess my question is, What's the running game gonna look like?

Are we absolutely sure the offensive line is, is, is gonna come together the way they need it, um, given the changes?

And then, you know, defensively, you know, there's a couple, uh, like, as, as much as, um, I believe in, in Trent McDuffy, you know, the rest of the cornerback room, I'm like, OK, are they, do they have the depth there, are there gonna be some holes we don't necessarily see, but The talent level is, is, is there.

It sounds like from what we hear with Travis Kelsey, um, that he, he wants to show up completely in shape this year, which I think was a criticism last year with the Chiefs that it took him time to kind of get himself going and then it just kind of never really kicked into that high gear and he has wanted to, from everything we've heard, he's really wanted to remedy that this offseason, so he's motivated.

Um, I think at the very least this year, I would look at them as, as being a repeat as long as there's not some catastrophic injury failure on the offensive line.
