Aleix Garrido has completed a move from Barcelona to Eibar and has explained his decision to leave the [Catalan club which has been his home for 13 years](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/6/20/24452204/end-of-an-era-as-aleix-garrido-set-to-leave-barcelona-for-eibar#comments).
The midfielder has signed a three-year deal with Eibar and arrives on a free transfer from Barcelona.
Garrido says he’s happy to make the move and needed a change of scenery.
> “For me it is a big change because I have been at Barça for many years. It’s closing a stage and I want to change scenery and live football much more professionally and wear this shirt,” he told the club’s media.

> “The Second Division is something I haven’t played yet and it motivates me a lot to train as a footballer. Eibar is a perfect place. I feel happy, I am happy to join this family. It will be a very nice year and I’m motivated, I’m motivated to get out of my comfort zone.”
It’s a shame to see Garrido move on but let’s hope he can enjoy some regular football at Eibar and have a successful career.
