Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make a shock return to English football with Leeds United.
Daniel Farke is looking for Premier League-proven players to bolster his squad ahead of a first top-flight campaign since the 2022-23 season.
The 35-cap England international is reportedly keen on a move to Elland Road with his current club Besiktas, desperate to offload him from the wage bill.
The number 10 position is a potential upgrade for the Whites, with Brenden Aaronson failing to impress in the Championship last season.

Leeds to take punt on Oxlade-Chamberlain
Farke signing the former Liverpool star would be a real coup, if they can get him back to his best, as he would offer much more than Aaronson.

However, iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that is a huge ask and has questioned whether the veteran could shake off the injury issues that plagued him at Anfield.
Speaking to MOT Leeds News, he said: “I think at this stage of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s career, he is a lovely guy, who has had to come through quite a bit in terms of injuries.
“I think it represents a pretty wild punt, I would love to think from his point of view that he could make a glorious comeback to the Premier League.
“But if you are asking me if I think it would happen, no, I think it probably won’t and I wonder whether at this late stage in his career his body would stand up to a return to the Premier League.
“It may be one of those, from Leeds’ perspective, if they can get a deal like that done without it breaking the bank, they may just feel like it is a punt worth taking.
“I’d hope from Oxlade-Chamberlain’s point of view that there was a lovely, glorious last chapter, but you need a vivid imagination to see it happening.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain deal would be a huge gamble for Leeds
A potential deal for the former Arsenal man would be a major gamble from the 49ers, as they seek to hand Farke the best chance for survival.

It is questionable whether the ex-Three Lions star could make the required impact in Yorkshire, after constant injury issues in his last stint in the top-flight.
He has previously starred in the division and the Champions League under Jurgen Klopp but those days seem far behind him.
