Leeds United and Spurs are in a handful of transfer battles this summer. But it looks like the North Londoners have just won one of them.
Leeds United will go up against Spurs in the Premier League next season after Daniel Farke guided the Whites towards the Championship title last season.
There’s since been a horde of players linked with Leeds United this summer and there’s a number of them who’ve also been linked with a move to Tottenham.
It’s been reported that Leeds United and Spurs want to sign James McAtee from Man City this summer, with the England U21s man looking set to leave the Etihad after struggling for game time in 2024/25.
Elsewhere, both Leeds and Spurs have been linked with Greek full-back Georgios Vagiannidis at Panathinaikos. Leeds in particular need full-backs this summer and another on their radar is Kyle Walker-Peters.
A former Spurs man himself, Tottenham are also linked with Walker-Peters who is set to leave Southampton as a free agent following their relegation from the Premier League.

Leeds United handed Kyle Walker-Peters blow as Spurs consider reunion
Walker-Peters has been a key transfer target for Leeds United since the start of the year. He’s someone who can operate on both flanks and he’s also someone with Premier League pedigree, earning praise last season despite his Southampton side’s terrible showing in the league.
But in what is surely a cruel blow for Farke, it’s now being reported that Walker-Peters is open to a return to Spurs, who are set to make checks on the 28-year-old later in the summer transfer following the appointment of Thomas Frank at Tottenham. Leeds then have time to pull off a deal for the former England man.
MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES
Football.london write that ‘Spurs have considered a move later in the window’ for Walker-Peters. The same report adds that ‘Walker-Peters would be keen on a return to his boyhood club’ having come through the youth ranks at Spurs, making 24 total appearances before leaving permanently for Southampton in 2020.

The latest on Leeds United’s search for new full-backs
With Junior Firpo set to join Real Betis on a free transfer, the need for new full-backs, especially a left-back, is becoming very pressing for Leeds United.
One name linked with that left-back spot is Hugo Bueno. And recent reports in Spain revealed how Leeds United remain in the race to sign Bueno from Wolves this summer, along with Feyenoord, though Wolves look as though they’ll keep the Spaniard after selling Rayan Ait-Nouri to Man City.
Other names linked with a move to Elland Road in the last few weeks include Atletico Madrid’s departing left-back Reinildo Mandava as well as another former Spurs youngster in Japhet Tanganga.
But there doesn’t seem to be a full-back deal close right now, with Leeds United waiting to announce the signing of Jaka Bijol from Udinese.
