Arsenal are still on the prowl for a fresh No. 9 as Mikel Arteta wants the firepower to take his Gunners side to silverware next season.

As the transfer window starts to sizzle, the north London outfit might soon be making their move for their prime target. The identity of that target remains a mystery, however, with a number of huge talents on their radar.

Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are tipped as the top contenders to lead Arsenal's frontline in the forthcoming 2025-26 season, with both expected to part ways with their current clubs this summer. Both Arsenal and Liverpool also have their eyes on Alexander Isak, but it seems the Newcastle ace is set to stay put for now.

With Mikel Arteta also eager to bolster his attack with a new winger, there's bound to be plenty of action in north London in the coming weeks. Here's all the latest transfer news from the Emirates.

It's seen as a 'dead cert' that Alexander Isak will stick with Newcastle this summer, despite Arsenal and Liverpool showing interest in the Swedish international, reports the Mirror.

Both Arsenal and the newly crowned Premier League champions are shopping for a new striker this summer, and Isak - who was the league's second top scorer last season with 23 goals - would be a dream signing for either club.

However, after securing a Champions League spot, Newcastle hold all the cards and, according to The Telegraph, they're expected to keep their star striker, 25, this summer.

Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly turned down a hefty offer from Juventus, which would have bagged the Sporting Lisbon star a whopping £11million-a-year contract.

Earlier this week, it was revealed the Italian titans had put forward the massive bid in an attempt to snatch Gyokeres, 27, before Arsenal and Manchester United could get their hands on him.

However, with Arsenal being Gyokeres' top choice, Corriere dello Sport reports that Juventus have been told the Swedish player won't be joining their ranks.

Zubimendi in London

Martin Zubimendi jetted into London on Friday to wrap up his summer transfer from Real Sociedad, as per The Athletic.

Zubimendi, 26, nearly signed for Liverpool last year but had a last-minute change of heart. However, it was hinted earlier this year that a move to Arsenal was pretty much a done deal.

With Zubimendi now in the UK to sign on the dotted line, official confirmation of the deal could be just around the corner.

Another midfielder up for grabs?

Christian Norgaard of Brentford

Brentford's Christian Norgaard could be on Arsenal's radar during this transfer window.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who inked a new deal with the Bees earlier this year, has two years remaining on his contract.

However, he is among the potential midfield recruits that the Gunners might pursue this summer as they aim to strengthen their central field.

Norgaard joined Brentford in 2019 and was part of the squad that clinched Premier League promotion through the play-offs in 2021.
