The summer transfer window has seen Manchester City busier than most clubs so far.
The plan heading into the market was to add four to five new faces to Pep Guardiola’s squad, a target the Premier League giants have already reached before travelling to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.
At the heart of the Spanish coach’s rebuild at the Etihad Stadium was a revamp of his midfield, with Man City signing Tijjani Reijnders as their new number eight. At the same time, Rayan Cherki was brought in to replace Kevin De Bruyne in the number 10 role.
This was not good news for one City star in particular, and the latest is that he could be on his way out of Manchester, having agreed personal terms with another club.

Ilkay Gundogan agrees personal terms with Galatasaray
It was reported in May that Guardiola was open to letting Gundogan leave Man City this summer despite the one-year extension in his contract being triggered.
The German star has since revealed that he plans to see out his Man City contract; however, things seem to have changed.

Last week, it was reported that Galatasaray were interested in Gundogan, and that transfer has now got closer as the 34-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Turkish giants, according to L’Equipe.
The report states that Galatasaray considered moves for Bernardo Silva and Inter’s Hakan Calhanoglu, but have now decided on Gundogan, with concrete progress made in recent days, and the Turkish side are hoping that the Premier League club allows the midfielder to leave for free.
This follows a report from the Daily Mail, which also confirmed Galatasaray’s hopes of landing Gundogan this summer as it now looks like the Man City legend’s time in Manchester is coming to an end.

Galatasaray are Ilkay Gundogan’s dream club
Manchester City News previously reported that Galatasaray is a club that Gundogan has always dreamed of playing for, as the midfielder was a fan of the Turkish giants as a boy.
Both of the Man City star’s parents are Turkish, and therefore, this has always been an ambition for the 34-year-old before ending his career.
Gundogan has been a fan favourite at Man City for many years, having first joined the club in 2016, and everyone associated with the Manchester outfit will be sad to see him leave, while at the same time being happy that he is about to live out a childhood dream.
The midfielder is currently focused on winning the FIFA Club World Cup with City, and once the tournament has concluded, this transfer can be expected to pick up in pace.
