Liverpool are now one of the clubs monitoring 19-year-old attacking midfield player Tyler Dibling. Dibling will likely leave Southampton this summer with the Saints’ relegation to the Championship.
As per sources, the teenager has got interest from a number of Premier League giants . Those include Manchester United, Newcastle, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City. Dibling’s ability to play both centrally and out wide has made him one of England’s most exciting young talents. He has been making his name with the U-21 national team.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig already had a €35m bid turned down. Southampton have now reportedly placed a €60m price tag on the young midfielder. Given that, it is raising doubts among potential suitors.
High Price Tag Could Be a Roadblock
Despite the interest, Dibling’s limited first-team experience is making some clubs have doubts. Man Utd are said to be tracking his development. But, they are also not ready to spend a lot on a player who still hasn’t played at the elite level.
Liverpool, Chelsea, and a number of others have yet to approach the matter formally or put money on the table. So far none of the clubs have made any official moves. So, as things stand, we are still in the very early stages, of the transfer saga.
Dibling’s raw talent and potential as a player will appeal to clubs already looking to the future. Whether or not his price represents value for money is up for discussion.
Currently, the Reds have interest in the young midfielder, but Southampton might have to lower their ask. It may be some time before a deal is reached. As the summer transfer window rolls on, fans will be keeping their eye on Dibling’s move.
