Report: Wolves will 'listen to offers' for £28m worth of talent as Vitor Pereira plans clear-out

As part of their transformed recruitment team, Wolves are overhauling their squad this summer, with many players expected to leave.

Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri were the headline departures following their moves to Manchester United and Manchester City, respectively. Meanwhile, other first-teamers Craig Dawson and Pablo Sarabia have left on a free transfer.

Sarabia has joined Qatari club Al Arabi as he approaches the end of his career, and he isn’t the only one set to embark on their next chapter.

It has been reported that Flamengo are targeting Goncalo Guedes, who was used sporadically by Vitor Pereira last term, with multiple others poised to leave Molineux.

Wolves will ‘listen to offers’ for Tommy Doyle, Hwang Hee-chan and Boubacar Traore

Mail journalist Tom Collomosse was asked what the status of fringe players Tommy Doyle, Hwang Hee-chan and Boubacar Traore was.

Collomosse suggested that Wolves are prepared to ‘listen to offers’ for the trio, who were signed for around a combined £28 million.

Doyle was captured for just over £4 million in the summer of 2024 after impressing Gary O’Neil on loan. Wolves signed Hwang Hee-chan for £14 million at the start of 2022, and Boubacar Traore was a £9.5 million addition from Metz.

All three were fringe players for Pereira during the 2024/25 campaign, with Traore missing most of the season with an injury sustained against Burnley in the Carabao Cup.

What we know about interest in Doyle, Hwang and Traore

As it stands, Doyle has attracted the most interest of the three players. Sunderland have been linked with Doyle following their promotion to the Premier League, while Championship sides Birmingham City and Wrexham are shock contenders to land him.

It seems improbable that the 23-year-old will be shifted out the door this summer. Pereira previously bemoaned Doyle’s lack of physicality as an issue, suggesting he doesn’t have the tools to flourish in his system.

Traore was close to joining Feyenoord last summer, but his injury against Burnley scuppered that prospect, and now there hasn’t been much in the way of interest.

Meanwhile, Wolves rejected a £21 million bid for Hwang from Marseille in 2024 as O’Neil saw him as a vital part of his plans.

Now Pereira thinks it’s better if Hwang leaves, and while there is a huge chance of that happening, no club have launched a move from what we know.
