Newcastle United third kit images leak online just days after away shirt - it's not what we…

**Newcastle United and Adidas are gearing up for their second season as kit partners after a barnstorming debut.**

Last summer, Adidas took over from Castore as Newcastle's kit supplier, and with their retro-inspired kit lineup, they knocked it out of the park with all three kits.

This year, the 2025/26 home kit got an early debut as the Magpies wore the new kit in the final game of the season against Everton ahead of its official release in late May.

July and August will see the launch of the away and third kits, respectively, but images have already leaked online of what the shirts will look like.

Newcastle's third shirt has leaked online

-----------------------------------------

The away shirt [leaked last week](https://nufcfeed.com/new-images-leak-of-newcastle-united-2025-26-away-shirt-with-release-date-getting-closer-1385478), revealing a green design that seemed to divide opinion, and now the third shirt, which was rumoured to be heavily inspired by the 1997/98 away kit, has now been shared around social media, with journalist Joel Bland confirming it to be the legitimate design.

The 1997/98 kit had a controversial off-centre design with the Newcastle Breweries 'beer mat' off to the right with a green and orange stripe running down the right of the shirt. Early leaks we saw had the stripe on the left-hand side of the shirt running behind the Newcastle crest, which was again housed in a black shield.

The new leak reveals that the stripe hasn't made it onto the new shirt, but the shield badge and colour scheme of blue and orange remain, but the green has been replaced by a light blue which runs along the edge of the collar and the sleeves.

What is your opinion of the blue and orange third shirt?

The Adidas trefoil logo makes its first appearance on a modern Newcastle kit

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Newcastle United are now an Adidas elite club, the kit also sports the retro trefoil logo, which looks stunning in orange along with the Sela sponsor.

I personally think this kit is absolutely stunning and is my favourite of the three kits coming out for next season; however, some fans have issues with the black shield housing the crest, with some fans preferring to see the 80's NUFC logo make a return instead.

Some fans have also questioned the decision to change the green for blue, and I'm with them on that one. I thought the green and orange looked excellent. However, overall, this is the kit for me. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the poll above.

The results are in from our away shirt poll, with 66% of people who voted seemingly pretty indifferent, but a more telling stat was that only 9.5% opted for "Take my money". Ouch, Adidas.
