The latest Liverpool transfer news as the club have confirmed the arrival of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Liverpool have confirmed the club record signing of Florian Wirtz. The German has joined from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year deal for a fee that could rise up to £116 million.
It’s a deal that has been long in the making, with the Reds beating off competition for the attacker. The 22-year-old scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists in the Bundesliga last season.
Given the excitement around the transfer, there was a lot of social media activity from Liverpool’s official accounts when the announcement was made.

And members of the current Liverpool squad gave their reaction to the news.
Among the current players to ‘like’ the social media posts around the signing was Luis Diaz.
The winger has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with Barcelona showing a strong interest.
Earlier this month,the ECHO reported that the Reds had rejected an official approach from Barcelona for the Colombia international.
Liverpool have no plans to let the player leave the club this summer, with him under contract until 2027.
Alisson, Wataru Endo and Alexis Mac Allister also 'liked' posts around the signing. Former Liverpool man Georginio Wijnaldum also 'liked' the posts too.
In the comments, Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey replied with clapping and praising hand emojis. The two winger played together at Bayer Leverkusen before Bailey moved to Villa in 2021.
The German club also sent a classy message in the comments on the signing post, where they wrote: “Take care of this great lad!” They added a similar comment to a later post, simply saying: “Look after him.”
Wirtz’s Premier League debut for Liverpool will come at Anfield against Bournemouth on Friday, 15 August.
He will, however, have the chance to impress before that with friendlies against AC Milan, Yokohama FM and Athletic Club, as well as the Community Shield against Crystal Palace.
