Pep Guardiola has seen four new faces arrive at Man City this summer.
Tijjani Reijnders arrived at Man City last week, which followed the additions of Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli, who have all been taken to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup.
A right-back could still arrive at Man City before the summer window shuts, but for now, the focus is on the Club World Cup and exits, as the Manchester club need to offload several stars, while also securing loan deals for their younger players.
One man was expected to leave the Etihad Stadium for the 2025/26 campaign, but it is now being reported that Guardiola has done a U-turn.

Manchester City will not loan out Vitor Reis
Man City completed the signing of Vitor Reis from Palmeiras as part of a £30m deal in January, which was a big coup for the Manchester club, given the hype around the young defender.
However, the Brazilian did not feature much for the Manchester club during the second half of last season, and it was reported last week that Reis would leave Man City on loan as Guardiola doesn’t think the 19-year-old is ready to play regularly for the Premier League giants.

GOAL’s Valentin Furlan is now reporting that the Spanish coach has done a U-turn on the youngster, as City will not let Reis leave on loan this summer.
This comes amid interest from several top clubs in Germany, Spain, and England, with the Brazilian said to now be part of the plans at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City have a lot of faith in Reis becoming one of the best defenders in the world, and the decision to keep the 19-year-old around could be very beneficial, as he will learn from the best every day in training, while it allows him to get up to speed with Guardiola’s methods faster.
This news may not be good for everybody at the Manchester club, as it could result in a City legend departing the Etihad Stadium.
John Stones could be set to leave Man City
It was reported on Friday that Man City also plan to keep Abdukodir Khusanov for the upcoming season, which currently leaves Guardiola with six centre-backs for the new season.
Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias will be the undisputed starters at the Etihad Stadium throughout the 2025/26 campaign, and the defensive duo will be backed up by Nathan Ake, Khusanov, and Reis, which could leave club legend John Stones searching for a new club over the coming weeks.

It has already been reported that Man City are willing to sell Stones this summer as they have concerns over his fitness issues. This, along with the 31-year-old’s age, contract situation, and form, means a sale would be ideal for City before the transfer window shuts.
It remains to be seen what clubs make an official move for Stones this summer, but all the signs point towards the Englishman’s career in Manchester coming to an end.
