Recently traded from the Orlando Magic to the Memphis Grizzlies, guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope says his goal is to bring a championship to Memphis.
The Memphis Grizzlies recently made a blockbuster move by trading away their starting guard, Desmond Bane, in exchange for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, and multiple future first-round picks.

At first glance, the trade appeared to signal a shift toward rebuilding. However, during an appearance on The Dawg Talk Podcast, new Grizzlies addition Caldwell-Pope made it clear that winning a championship remains the goal.
"I’m trying to go get them a championship," KCP stated. "I'm going to an organization where I feel comfortable, where I'm back to doing what I do.

"I don’t want to spill too much about what the organization’s trying to do, but based on what we talked about, how they want to play and where they're trying to take the organization, I fit right in with what they're trying to do," he added.
Caldwell-Pope averaged 8.7 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists last season with the Orlando Magic.
He brings invaluable championship experience to Memphis, having won titles with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and the Denver Nuggets in 2023.
