Manchester United asking for€26m as‘intense’talks ongoing with entourage

Manchester United are asking for €26m to let Jadon Sancho go this summer, with Juventus and Napoli in the race for him.

That’s according to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, who report that Juventus have tried to overtake the Serie A champions for the Manchester United outcast.

The newspaper reports that Juventus have entered the negotiations for Sancho but are speaking directly to Manchester United about him.

Napoli, meanwhile, have had an ‘intense’ conversation with Sancho and his entourage. They believe Manchester United’s request for €26m is high. He is, for the time being, just one of several options for the wings that they like.

That could give Juventus their window to steal a march. They’re long-time admirers of Sancho and have been linked with a move in the past. Indeed, they were keen before he headed on loan to Chelsea last year.

That interest has now been revived and the fact they’re speaking to Manchester United directly speaks volumes. What they think of their €26m asking price and whether they’re willing to pay it, remains to be seen.

The stage is set for something of an Italian battle for Sancho either way as he and Manchester United look to part ways permanently this summer.
