Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, has recently announced he has made a multi million pound business profit.

The Manchester United legend spent 26 successful years at Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson turned Manchester United around from being a club fighting against relegation, to one of the world’s biggest and most successful football clubs.

During the Scotsman’s tenure Manchester United won 38 trophies which included 13 Premier Leagues, 5 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 2 Champions Leagues, 1 European Cup Winners’ Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s time at Manchester United symbolises the clubs ethos, he was synonymous for trusting youth and built up what we know today as one of the world’s most successful academies.

His most famous youth prodigies are known as the Class of 92′. This group of players were stonewalls in Manchester United’s team for numerous years and helped the club win the treble in 1999. Recently knighted Sir David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.

With all the success Sir Alex Ferguson brought to the club, upon his retirement, the club decided to make him an ambassador. A title he held up until October 2024.

Since new owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s arrival, the billionaire Englishman has been axing members of staff at Manchester United in order to save money and cut costs to relieve United of their debts. Sir Alex Ferguson was one of many people to be taken off the books at Old Trafford.

However since being dumped by INEOS, The Times report that Sir Alex Ferguson has made a profit of £2.7 million during last years financial year.

His ACF Sports Promotion enterprise had a very successful year growing from £24.2 million in assets to £26.9 million.

However, the recent release of their accounts does not make it clear if the £2.1 million that Sir Alex Ferguson continued to receive from Manchester United as a club ambassador was paid into the company accounts directly.

This success will be warmly welcomed by the former United boss and Manchester United fans will be delighted to see the legend doing well after being axed by new owners INEOS.
