Arsenal Considering Move For£65m Chelsea Transfer Target Who Is“So Strong, So Quick, So Sharp”

Arsenal are reportedly considering a move to sign West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus this summer.

The Gunners want to sign a winger in order to ease some pressure on both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, who both suffered injuries last season. They had been linked to Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, but he is reportedly wanting a move to Barcelona instead.

Real Madrid winger Rodrygo is also a target for the Gunners, however, the Spanish giants don’t want to sell him, and he is expected to cost at least £68m, which would be a difficult fee for the Gunners to match.

Reports have now emerged suggesting that they want to sign West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus instead. According to the Daily Mail via LondonWorld, Arsenal are considering a move for the winger who wants to move after a disappointing season for Graham Potter’s side.

In his first season in the Premier League, Kudus was superb, but last year, he took a step back, as did a lot of the West Ham players. He made 35 appearances for the Hammers, scoring five goals and providing four assists.

In the past, Kudus has been linked to Premier League rivals Chelsea, but it is understood that at the moment, the Blues are prioritising a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens instead.

How realistic is Kudus to Arsenal?

If the reports about Kudus wanting to leave the London Stadium are true, then very likely, as the Ghana international would surely be willing to come to the Emirates and challenge for a league title.

Furthermore, he fits a need that Arsenal have, as they are wanting to add a winger this summer in an attempt to add more quality and squad depth up front.

The Gunners would be getting an excellent player if they did sign Kudus. Former West Ham teammate Aaron Creswell has previously said that he would avoid him in training because he’s so good. He told BBC Sport last year: “I’ve just trained with him and you don’t want to go anywhere near him… I won’t go near him in training because … he’s so strong, so quick, so sharp.”
