Everton are eyeing a cut-price move to sign Brazilian striker Yuri Alberto for David Moyes, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The Toffees are expected to have a busy summer transfer window as The Friedkin Group look to put their stamp on the squad after purchasing the club during the 2024/25 campaign, and funds have been made available for manager Moyes to bring in the players he wants.
A new striker is said to be among the top priorities for the window, and Brazil international Alberto has now emerged as one of the targets at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

With the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin seemingly lying away from Merseyside, while Beto has interest from clubs in the Premier League and Europe too, a new striker is expected to come in.
Alberto, who has been described as 'one of the best performing forwards in world football', has been on fire since joining Corinthians back in 2022 with 70 goals in 183 appearances for the club, and it's now expected that his time in South America is set to come to an end.
Everton are keen to bring him in as quality striker competition and depth, but they face stiff competition from La Liga club Atletico Madrid, who are said to be the frontrunners for his signature. However, they can't provide regular first-team minutes due to their current striker options, which has left the door open for the Toffees.

Corinthians have set his asking price at just over £17m as he is the world's most prolific Under-23 striker with 45 goals and 11 assists in 92 matches since January 2024. But that price shouldn't be an issue for the Blues, who have been given funds to strengthen the squad under the new ownership.
Alberto isn't the only striker on the club's shortlist however, with the club monitoring the situation of Newcastle star Callum Wilson while they are also big fans of France Under-21 and Villarreal star Thierno Barry.
