After a season filled with mistakes, Manchester United’s Cameroonian custodian Andre Onana might be leaving this summer.
Ruben Amorim has publicly backed his present goalie thus far, despite the head coach’s covert intention to find a better goalie at Old Trafford.
After Onana made two important blunders in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal match against Lyon, Amorim said, “If you look at the season, I’ve made more mistakes than them during these last games and during these last months.”
Since there is currently nothing I can say to Andre that will help him, the most important thing is to be natural. When the time comes, I will choose the best starting lineup to play. However, I believe in Andre a lot.
However, there have been speculations in recent weeks that Manchester United is looking to replace their number one.
And it’s now been confirmed that Andre Onana has been contacted by another club.

According to Paul Hirst of the Sunday Times, AS Monaco have approached Andre Onana’s representatives over a potential move to the Ligue 1 club.
It is understood that Monaco asked Onana’s camp to be kept updated on his situation and that no formal bid has been lodged for the 29-year-old.
However it also states that the Cameroonian goalkeeper is minded to stay and fight for his place at Manchester United.
Over the past two years, Onana has had a difficult time settling into the Premier League, frequently making mistakes that lead to goals.
Since Onana made several high-profile mistakes during his patchy rookie season, the trend has persisted throughout the current campaign.
It could be best for everyone for a fresh change.
