Manchester United have a number of difficult situations that need resolving in this summer transfer window.
Indeed, the Red Devils have a number of wantaway players who have now returned to the club and need to find new homes.
Jadon Sancho is in a strange situation after being rejected by Chelsea, while Antony needs to find a new club after a successful loan spell at Real Betis.
Of course, arguably the biggest elephant in the room at Old Trafford is Marcus Rashford.
Rashford spent the second-half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, but a return to Villa Park doesn’t appear to be on the cards.
Rashford does have other options, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the attacker is waiting for a move to Barcelona, and he’s making a big mistake in holding out for that deal.

Marcus Rashford is waiting for Barcelona
According to Fabrizio Romano, Marcus Rashford is waiting for a move to Barcelona.
“There is one thing I can confirm and it’s about Marcus Rashford deciding to join Barcelona, Marcus Rashford would love to be at Barcelona. It couldn’t happen in January because Ansu Fati ended up staying at Barcelona,” Romano said.
“Now, the situation is different and Barcelona have space to add more players. Rashford is waiting for Barcelona. Many clubs are calling to understand Rashford’s situation, but he’s waiting for Barcelona, with or without Nico Williams joining the club.”
Of course, joining Barcelona is a great move for any player, but it feels like Rashford is barking up the wrong tree here.
Marcus Rashford is making a big mistake
It would appear that Rashford could be making a big mistake as he waits for a move to Barcelona.
Barcelona already have numerous wingers who would start over Rashford if he headed to Camp Nou, and with Nico Williams also set to sign for La Blaugrana, Rashford is waiting for a move that could ultimately be detrimental to his career.

If Rashford does join Barcelona, he may be set for a season of warming the bench and playing limited minutes.
Not only that, with Nico Williams headed to Barcelona, Rashford may, realistically, be waiting for a call that may never come as Barcelona simply don’t need Rashford.
The longer Rashford waits, the more time he wastes and the more his other options dwindle as top clubs begin to build their squads for next season.
There’s a lot of talk about clubs panic buying at the end of transfer windows, but if Rashford continues to blindly wait for a move to Barcelona, he may well end up panic moving at the end of this window to a club that doesn’t suit his ambition, talent or style of play.
Rashford needs to have something of a reality check, desert this dream of signing for Barcelona and focus on joining a club that is right for him this summer, especially ahead of a World Cup year.
