Aston Villa are showing interest in one Man United midfielder. The player has been out of form in recent seasons. But, he is highly talented and can get back to his best under right guidance.
Manchester United are keen to sell many of their current players. Ruben Amorim is not impressed with the quality of the current squad. Hence, he is willing to bring in new players. Amongst the players linked with exit is 26 year old midfielder, but his departure is not fully guaranteed.
The star in question here is Mason Mount. The English international was superb at Chelsea but later his form started to dip. As a result, he was sold with United hoping to get best of him. But, Mount has failed to leave his mark at Old Trafford due to poor form and recurring injuries.
Aston Villa interested to sign Mason Mount
As of now, it is still not certain wheter the Red Devils are willing to sell Mount. But, the 26 year old is looked upon by multiple clubs. One of them are Aston Villa who have lost Rashford and Asensio and hence will need new players.
“United have tried to establish whether there is a market for Mason Mount. Aston Villa have been spoken about and I think they can make a move. People remember Mason Mount at his best, that what Villa want to help him get back to and it looks like he’s back to full fitness now” – Mick Brown told Football Insider.
“His move to Man United hasn’t been positive by any means, but he’s still a talented player. Villa want to strengthen because they’ve lost Rashford and Asensio, so Mount is on their list. Unai Emery is a fan of his and feels he could help him to rediscover his Chelsea form” – Brown on why Villa want Mount.
