Arne Slot has been a very busy man this summer, with his Liverpool squad undergoing plenty of change already.
The Reds were the most dominant team in the Premier League by a country mile during the 2024-25 campaign, and it feels like they’re going to be the team to beat once again.
Liverpool have already brought Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz in to help bolster their ranks, but with the number of players they’re still getting linked with, it feels unlikely that they’re going to stop there.

Milos Kerkez is the next player expected to arrive on Merseyside, with the Hungarian’s move seemingly affecting the future of a “fantastic” Liverpool youngster.
Wrexham now want to sign Liverpool ace Owen Beck on loan
Owen Beck is a player who has been highly regarded at Liverpool since he was first brought into the limelight.
Beck was expected to be given a chance in Liverpool’s 2025-26 pre-season, but with Kerkez’s arrival now imminent, his future seems set in stone.
That is, according to a report from Liverpool.com, who write that Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham are now ‘interested’ in acquiring the defender’s services.
The report adds that Wrexham’s interest comes after the Scotsman ‘established’ himself at Blackburn Rovers before an injury cut his season short.

Owen Beck leaving Liverpool on loan makes plenty of sense
Once Kerkez’s switch has been confirmed, Liverpool will have three senior left-backs within their ranks for one spot in the starting XI.
Both Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson have been linked with moves away due to Kerkez’s arrival, but at the moment, the latter of the two feels the most likely to leave.
Robertson has recently been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, which, for a 31-year-old, would be something of a dream move.
This would leave Tsimikas and Kerkez at Liverpool, and to be honest, looking at the injury history of both players, Beck would hardly get a chance if he were to stay at Anfield.
So, in the grand scheme of things, allowing Beck to join Wrexham on loan makes plenty of sense; he’ll continue to develop and become even better.

The 2024-25 season of Owen Beck in numbers.
This would then open the doorway for the Scotsman to be Kerkez’s deputy in the future.
Only time will tell what the future has in store, but of all the rumours to have emerged from Liverpool recently, this is the one that makes the most sense.
