The renovation of Manchester United under Ruben Amorim is progressing quickly, and some well-known players are anticipated to leave.

Matheus Cunha has already arrived as part of the club’s summer makeover, and negotiations for Bryan Mbeumo are progressing.

However, as United strives to maintain compliance with the Profit and Sustainability Rules, player sales are also a top priority.

Although Manchester United has previously announced a number of squad members will be leaving in the summer, new information indicates that winger Antony’s departure may finally get some steam.

Since being displayed on the shopfront, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jadon Sancho have not received any offers.

Now, it seems that a move away from Old Trafford is nearing closer for Antony.

CentreDevils can exclusively reveal that Real Betis have been in club-to-club talks with Manchester United in recent days and weeks over a potential move for Antony.

We can also reveal that personal terms on the player side wouldn’t be an issue with the Brazilian pushing for a move to the Spanish club.

As things stand there is a current separation on the fee between the two clubs.

Antony is also willing to take a wage cut to facilitate the move.

Several other top European teams are also waiting but Antony is giving priority to Real Betis per Fabrizio Romano.

After spending the second half of the previous season on loan at Betis, the Brazilian winger found his form again and was called up to the national squad.

Despite the lack of a written agreement between clubs, United is aware of the player’s preference.

In order to permanently leave Old Trafford this summer, Antony, who cost £86.3 million in 2022 under Erik ten Hag, is prepared to accept a 30% pay drop.

He is apparently looking for a solution that will allow him to remain in Spain for the next two years of his £150,000-per-week deal.

For United to avoid recording a loss under PSR, Antony must be sold for at least £32.58 million.
