Crystal Palace already in talks to replace Chelsea&LFC target

One Crystal Palace star is wanted by Chelsea in the summer window. The Eagles are already in talks to replace the player. The Blues are joined by Liverpool in the race.

Chelsea are desperate to sign some new defenders this summer. Firstly, they will part ways with both Disasi and Veiga. In addition, they can also sell Chalobah and Badiashile for right offer. Lastly, they are worried about Fofana’s injuries and hence can sell him too.

The Blues are linked with multiple defenders across whole Europe. One of them is their former player who came through their academy. The star in question here is Marc Guehi who is now captain of Crystal Palace. He helped the Eagles to win their first ever trophy in the recent season.

However, Guehi is likely to leave Palace this summer. He will be out of contract next summer and has rejected extension. As a result, Palace are open to sell him to avoid losing him for free. Chelsea along with Liverpool are desperate to sign the English international.

Crystal Palace already in talks to replace Marc Guehi

The Eagles are already monitoring their options to replace Guehi. According to Fabrizio Romano, they are in talks with Sporting CP for Ousmane Diomande. They view the 21 year old as perfect replacement for Guehi. Diomande also has interest from Chelsea.

Romano added that negotiations are underway between both clubs. Lastly, he reported that Palace boss Oliver Glasner has already approved Diomande. The 21 year old has €80 million release clause. Sporting may agree to do business on lower price but will still look to bag hefty profit on the deal.

This means Guehi will surely be sold by Palace this summer. Chelsea are working hard to bring him back to Stamford Bridge. But, Liverpool are also trying hard as they Quansah is closing in on exit. Guehi has demanded to be a regular starter which will play big role in deciding his next destination.
