Everton are weeks away from their new era as they move into the Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of the start of next season.

The Toffees waved goodbye to Goodison Park at the end of last season, with their move across Liverpool finally confirmed.

That transition will also coincide with David Moyes attempting to lift the Blues back into the top half of the Premier League table, after he oversaw a rapid turnaround last season.

The Fredkin Group are set to arm the Scot with plenty of new additions as he looks to continue the upward trajectory that he established last time out.

Everton want to sign Sao Paulo youngster Lucas Ferreira

Everton are currently making progress on several deals at the moment, with the likes of Nick Woltemade and Valentin Atangana having emerged as genuine transfer targets.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The Toffees now have their sights set on Sao Paulo youngster Lucas Ferreira, according to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola (21 June).

The 19-year-old winger is also understood to be attracting interest from Wolves, and the Premier League duo have both made contact with the player’s agent to discuss possible terms.

Ferreira is viewed as a hugely talented young player in Brazil, even though he only made his senior debut back in March, potentially becoming the latest in a long line to make the move to Europe.

Ferreira would be one for the future for Everton

The recent progress that Moyes has overseen will have been a welcome sight for TFG, and they understandably want to capitalise on the impressive end to last season.

As a result, several new faces will likely arrive this summer, with the majority intended to provide an immediate upgrade to the squad at the 62-year-old’s disposal.

However, that doesn’t mean that the Merseysiders shouldn’t keep one eye on recruiting potential future options at the same time.

That appears to be the aim with Ferreira, who has recently emerged as an important player for Sao Paulo, despite his tender age. He has still made just 25 senior appearances, which suggests that he would probably be better suited to an immediate loan move if Everton could secure his signature.

They should be doing everything they can to beat their Premier League rivals in the race for the youngster, who could potentially gain significant value later down the line if he develops as expected.
