Fiorentina striker Moise Kean should avoid joining Manchester United this summer, even if he couldn’t do worse than the striker’s he’d be replacing.
That’s according to former Fiorentina goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano, who has been speaking about the striker and a potential move to Manchester United today in [comments relayed by Fiorentina News.](https://www.fiorentinanews.com/news/497188507142/viviano-fazzini-acquisto-da-fiorentina-ma-le-garanzie-restano-pioli-e-la-societa-kean-difficile-dire-di-no-al-man-united-dodo-e-incedibile)
Kean has found himself being linked with Manchester United for the last few months after the 25-year-old managed 25 goals in 44 games for the Italian side this season.
Ruben Amorim’s side are believed to be on the hunt for a new striker this summer, with current options such as Rasmus Hojlund having struggled under the Portuguese manager this season.
That’s seen Kean linked with a move, although reports are yet to really do anything but suggest him as a name that Manchester United have checked off on a list of options. A serious move for him feels unlikely given Kean’s previous struggles in the Premier League with Everton anyway.
And Viviano believes he should avoid any switch to Old Trafford if it is offered to him, even though he would be an upgrade on the current strikers at the club.
“I hope the boy understands that Florence can still give him a lot: on more coveted stages he has in fact shown that he has failed, and Fiorentina could be ideal for him for at least another year,” he said.
“Manchester’s interest? It is true that, on a sporting level, Manchester United are not shining, but they are still one of the most important clubs in the history of football, with considerable economic power.
“Lately, anyone who has gone there has done badly and I think it will be difficult for him to do worse than already done by his predecessors.”
