Arsenal are reportedly prioritising the purchase of Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes after missing out on their top winger target, Nico Williams, who is on the brink of joining Spanish giants Barcelona.
Real Madrid’s new manager, Xabi Alonso, is said to be a big admirer of the energetic forward but is open to selling him if his release clause is triggered. Rodrygo is valued at around €100 million, and Mikel Arteta will need to break the bank to land the player.
To fund the significant move, Arsenal may sell two of its first-team players. The Gunners have been in talks with Rodrygo’s representatives and are optimistic about securing the 23-year-old Brazilian’s services.
According to recent reports, Arsenal could trade one of its key players to Real Madrid as part of the Rodrygo deal.
The Gunners may also outrightly sell out some of their key players.

Thomas Partey has been also linked to Barcelona and Athletico Madrid this summer.
Real Madrid is reportedly looking for a fee of around €90-100 million for Rodrygo which may be one of the record signings for the London-based club After Declan Rice’s big money move from Westham United.
Arteta is keen on adding more firepower to his ranks as he looks to end Arsenal’s wait for major silverware. Rodrygo’s abilities align with Arteta’s vision, and the Gunners are confident about securing his services.
The deal would not only enhance Arsenal’s attacking options but also raise the bar for competition within the squad.
