Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento has heaped praise on one of his teammates after reports he could join another Premier League team.
While many of his teammates are now off on their holidays, the 22-year-old is currently in Romania with England’s Under-21s in their bid to retain the European Championship, the likes of Anthony Gordon and James Trafford helped win two years ago.
Tino Livramento has been praised by the national media for his performances throughout the competition. Like the last few months with Newcastle United, Livramento is playing as a left-back for England and doing an excellent job.
In the meantime, there have been rumours about Livramento’s future at Newcastle, with Manchester City reportedly interested in the defender. However, Newcastle are not interested in selling Livramento, and would rather sell one of their other top stars before considering his exit.
While Livramento focuses on the Under-21 Euros, he has taken the time to praise one of his Newcastle teammates, admitting it is a “privilege” to train alongside him.

Alexander Isak is widely regarded as one of, if not the best striker in the world. Joining for a club record fee in 2022, Isak has enjoyed consecutive 20-goal seasons in the Premier League, achieving something not even Alan Shearer could in his decade at the club.
Having dropped out of international duty, Isak is now enjoying time off after a long and tiresome season. That has not stopped Livramento from sharing how much he enjoys training alongside the Swede.
When asked about Isak, Livramento told SunSport: “Alex is an unbelievable player. We definitely saw that a lot this season.

“Training against him is obviously a privilege, being at a club like Newcastle and seeing the quality that we have as a team. Being involved in that is only going to make me a better player.
“You see the level that he brings on a Sunday or Saturday as fans, but I see that sort of every single day as a player. It’s a real privilege to be in around players like him.”

After the last two seasons, it is no surprise that Isak has eyes on him throughout Europe. Most recently, reports stated that Liverpool are seriously interested in Isak, and were ready to table a £120m bid for him this summer.
However, those reports have since been debunked, and Newcastle are not looking to sell Isak. Even if they were, it would take a fee approaching the world record to agree for him to go.
Additionally, Liverpool recently signed Florian Wirtz for the British record transfer fee, suggesting that they may not be able to afford a player like Isak after spending so much money.
Newcastle are set to hold contract talks with Isak this summer to deter interest from the likes of Liverpool and reward him for his truly remarkable form over the last two years.
