Newcastle United signed Tino Livramento from Southampton for £35million in 2022.
Tino Livramento has revealed he is in “constant contact” with Eddie Howe amid ongoing Manchester City speculation.
Toon sensation Livramento is currently away with England under-21s for the Euros in Slovakia. He is alongside former Newcastle ace Elliot Anderson, with Will Osula - the tournament's joint-top scorer - representing Denmark.
Man City are undergoing a major summer rebuild having already signed Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki, Rayan Ait Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli. A hands-off valuation of £70million has reportedly been placed on Livramento’s head.
Tino Livramento talks with Eddie Howe
Speaking while on international duty, the 22-year-old opened up about his close relationship with Howe and the City speculation. He said: "The manager, I'm in constant contact with him. He has just said to keep focusing on what you're doing now and you're doing so well.
“So having that relationship with someone that is obviously such a big figure in what I've done so far, I think is an amazing thing for me. I'm very much focused on what I'm doing here now.
“I don't know anything about that (speculation). Being away with the under-21s is my main priority. I like to stay in the moment and just focus on what I can do to help the team now."
Tino Livramento on England under-21 hopes
England scraped through to the knockout rounds with a win, a draw and a loss during the group stage. Looking to retain their title, Livramento believes Lee Carsley’s men can go all the way. He said: “I think just going back to what I was saying, the players that we have in the squad, it's almost like there's players that are training really well and that deserve an opportunity to come into the team and show what they can do.
"But I definitely feel fresher now having not played against Germany. When you play a high level throughout the whole season, I've played a lot of games this term, so if Lee (Carsley) wanted to play me, he could have played me, he knew that. So the main thing is we're into a quarter-final and yeah, I'm ready to go."

Eddie Howe angered by Tino Livramento links
Howe was not impressed when asked about the speculation earlier this year. He told reporters: "It goes without saying (that he'd want to keep Livramento)," said Howe.
"It's frustrating for us that we're consistently talking about players rumoured to be leaving. We want to go the other way and strengthen our group. We want to make the team stronger for the future rather than lose our best players."
