Aston Villa ‘tempting’ player towards Villa Park – Club expecting big transfer fee

Aston Villa are ‘tempting’ Jesús Rodríguez away from Real Betis this summer, but yet to make an official offer for the 19-year-old.

That’s [according to Mucho Deporte](https://www.muchodeporte.com/real-betis/85222/el-impulso-del-mercado-65-millones-de-euros-por-cardoso-y-jesus-rodriguez/), who report that Betis are determined to secure a big fee for the winger and Johnny Cardoso.

They explain that both players want to leave and it’s only a matter of time before that happens. Betis believe they can close deals worth a combined minimum of €65m fixed. Anything less for both is ‘unviable’.

Rodríguez has sparked interest from several European clubs and Betis believe he will bring in a ‘significant sum’ on his own. The player wants the move and would welcome it.

Aston Villa are ‘tempting’ him, as are Italian side Como, but Betis are waiting for a final offer to arrive for him. The Spanish side are in no rush, and they’ll wait for any offer they deem acceptable to arrive.

This report is the latest in a growing list linking Aston Villa with the winger, though. Indeed, it was claimed this week that talks had been started, after it was made clear that Monchi was leading the push for the youngster.
