Marcus Rashford is looking for a way out of Manchester United this summer with his eyes locked on joining Barcelona.
Carrington academy graduate Marcus Rashford has burnt his bridges at Manchester United in an attempt to find new challenges.
He revealed this in December with an interview, which he never played for the club again following.
After a potential permanent move to Aston Villa fell through, Rashford is now only interested in Barcelona this summer, with the move considered a dream for the 27-year-old.
Rashford has told United to put him in the U21s if they refuse to let him go to Barcelona. Despite this desire to join, Barcelona has been working on signing Nico Williams instead.
The deal remains on the cards with all parties keen; however, United want a permanent exit opposed to a loan. Now, Rashford has been reaffirming his stance.

Marcus Rashford breaks silence on Manchester United future
If Barcelona doesn’t go for Rashford, it will look quite bad for the forward, considering he is throwing himself at the Catalan giants.
Now, as part of his pre-season, Rashford has been in Spain working hard and has appeared on a Spanish YouTube channel, xBuyer, in which he spoke highly of the country and hinted at his desire to join Barcelona.

“Spain is nice, it’s not too far from home. It’s a nice location.”
Continuing, Rashford revealed that he is now enjoying playing as a striker, which is a position he has at times been unhappy in for United, but interestingly, is where he would fit in for Barcelona.
“As I’ve got older, the number nine position is becoming more comfortable, more natural. Playing with my back to the goal is becoming easier for me, and you are always in front of the goal and dangerous.”
Rashford was then asked about the possibility of playing with Lamine Yamal.
“He will for sure be [in Rashford’s dream XI]. It’s difficult to put into words what he’s doing because he’s not supposed to be doing that. I don’t think we’ve seen this before.
“For sure”, Rashford responded when asked if he would like to play with Yamal. “I think everybody in the world wants to play with the best. Hopefully, we’ll see.”
Where would Marcus Rashford fit in for Barcelona?
Rashford’s desire to join Barcelona is fair; they are a massive club, and there he stands an excellent chance of achieving his dream of winning the Champions League, which isn’t the case right now at United.
However, it is confusing to hear how eager he is when his chance of regularly starting in Hansi Flick’s team looks slim.
Barcelona will have Williams on the left, while Yamal is irreplaceable on the right for the Culers. Down the middle is Rashford’s best chance, with a 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski, although he scored 27 goals last season, so he will be no pushover.
Rashford will believe he can get a place in the Barcelona starting line-up, but it is not straightforward, and he won’t be the main man.
