Preparation for the 2025-26 season has been rapidly progressing at Old Trafford.
This comes as Ruben Amorim and his team ready the Red Devils for a busy pre-season schedule that includes playing Leeds United among others.
During the transfer window, we have seen that Manchester United have been targeting a large number of strikers. These include names such as Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen. The targeting of these players also follows the signing of Matheus Cunha earlier this summer.
Now, it has been reported by Manchester Evening News that Manchester United have been given the green light to progress in their pursuit for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The green light comes as a result of Juventus plotting a replacement for Vlahovic according to Gianluca Di Marzio. This also follows reports that the the striker has refused to sign a new contract because of the wage proposals on the deal.
This signal comes following weeks of reporting that United were targeting the striker.
Vlahovic initially joined the Italian giants in 2022 from Fiorentina. The striker also had a successful 2024-25 season scoring 10 times during his 29 matches in Serie A. Furthermore, he was able to score 4 times during Juventus’ UEFA Champions League campaign.
At 25, he would also enter Old Trafford with room to grow but also arguably in the prime of his career.
From his statistics from the 2024-25 season, we can see that the Juventus star attempted 77 shots with 30 of these being on target. Furthermore, he had 133 touches in opposition boxes. This shows how he is a constant and dangerous presence in the box.
As well as this, at 6ft 2in, he is one to look out for during set-pieces. Would you like to see Dusan Vlahovic at Old Trafford or would you rather United pursue a different, more preferable target?
