Everton could lose Dominic Calvert-Lewin this transfer window if they can’t agree on a new contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes wanted Liam Delap to bolster the Toffees’ attack, but the Ipswich Town striker opted for a move to Chelsea.
Calvert-Lewin’s new deal at Bramley-Moore Dock has evidently become even more pivotal for the Blues, but it remains to be seen whether the two parties can come to an agreement.
The 28-year-old’s potential exit is now weeks away, and Sean Dyche has revealed what he knows about a possible extension.

Calvert-Lewin extension a serious option if he can stay fit Everton
Calvert-Lewin’s extension should be a serious option for the Toffees if they can get him fit and firing, Dyche says.

The ex-Blues manager revealed that he’s read about the Englishman and the Merseyside outfit being in talks over a new contract and has backed that decision.
Dyche believes strikers are hard to find, and if Moyes has an opportunity to keep the centre-forward, then he should take it.

Calvert-Lewin’s Premier League record last season.
Speaking on talkSPORT (21 June, 15:49), the former Burnley head coach said: “With Dom [Calvert-Lewin], it’s just keeping him fit and keeping him motivated in the sense of fitness meets performance. And I think that’s his next step now, staying fit. Generally, we did get him fit, we did get him there, but of course, he’s had another setback at the end of this season.
“He’s still got plenty to offer. He’s not old. I don’t keep involved with Everton life… but I did read that they were in some form of talks with Dom. And you can see why.
“Strikers are hard to find, and if you can get him going, I know that’s been a bit of an if because he’s so nearly got going again and not quite got firing. But if he can, then you’ve got to be looking at it as a serious option.”
Moyes must find Calvert-Lewin replacement this transfer window
Even if Moyes manages to keep Calvert-Lewin at the Toffees for another season, he can’t rely on him to be the first-choice number nine.
The Englishman has been injury-prone at the Blues over the years, and fans don’t expect him to be the team’s talisman anymore.
Beto’s form at Goodison Park in recent months has been encouraging, but even the Guinea-Bissau striker has his faults, and an upgrade is arguably needed.
Everton are without Armando Broja after he returned to Chelsea, and they arguably need reinforcements in attack this summer.
Youssef Chermiti has also spent most of his time on the sidelines since signing for the Toffees, and it would make sense for The Friedkin Group (TFG) to back the Scottish manager with a quality goalscorer.
There’s no guarantee Calvert-Lewin will be 100 per cent fit for most of the season, even if he extends his contract, and a replacement is undoubtedly needed.
The Blues had the right idea when they approached Delap, but they must now pursue other alternatives.
If the Merseyside outfit want to make progress in the upcoming campaign, they need someone capable of paying every week, something Calvert-Lewin has shown he isn’t capable of.
