Manchester United have been pursuing Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo for a large percentage of the transfer window.
This comes through the belief that Mbeumo can positively impact Manchester United and become even better than he is currently. Mbuemo excelled during the 2024-25 Premier League season scoring on 20 occasions whilst assisting a further 7 times.
However, Manchester United are not the only club in contention to sign the attacker because Tottenham Hotspur are also striving to signing him.
The possibility of this deal was further increased through the appointment of Thomas Frank – the former Brentford manager – as the new Spurs manager who was close to the training and improvement of the 25 year old’s skills.
But, now, it has been reported by Sky Sports that Bryan Mbeumo is “heading to Old Trafford” with the Red Devils currently preparing a second bid for the Cameroon international.
This news may come to the happiness and relief of many United fans who have been expressing their concern about the possibility of this deal due to the lack of updates in relation to this deal.
With the attacker now reported to be closing in on a move to Old Trafford, he is most likely to take a spot in the CAM position in Amorim’s squad as can also be successful as a striker.
As mentioned, the attacker also managed to contribute 7 assists to Brentford during the 2024-25 Premier League season.
This, combined with the fact that the Cameroonian was able to create 70 chances, shows his ability not able to execute chances but also be the author of them.
At 25 years old, the midfielder still has room to grow although still holds immense amounts of potential to improve in the Manchester United squad.
Do you think that Bryan Mbeumo can be successful at Old Trafford or will he fall to the pressure that has ruined many other players at Manchester United?
