City go back to the future this weekend when we debut the club’s iconic new special edition away kit launched in collaboration with PUMA and KidSuper against Al Ain in our second FIFA Club World Cup clash.
The jersey which has been produced exclusively for the Club World Cup, features an iconic two-tone red and black diagonal sash as well as the Poznan, and serves as a homage to a design that has become a firm fan favourite amongst generations of City fans.
The jersey is also set against hand-painted graphics inspired by the Club’s famous Poznań celebration.
The club first sported the eye-catching design in the 1970s when worn by City legends such as Colin Bell and Mike Summerbee and made an instant impact.
It has been used again on numerous occasions across subsequent decades, most latterly in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons when sported by such greats as Yaya Toure, David Silva, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Pablo Zabaleta.
Now Pep Guardiola’s squad will debut the new kit in Atlanta, Georgia for our latest Club World Cup clash against Al Ain at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the game taking place at 02.00 Monday, June 23 (UK).
