Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has passionately urged the club to ensure Amad doesn't grow unsettled after they reportedly struck a transfer agreement with Bryan Mbeumo. The Brentford forward is said to have approved an Old Trafford switch, with negotiations ongoing between both clubs to settle on a transfer fee.
United's first and, currently, only offer was worth £45million plus £10m in add-ons, but Brentford are believed to want £60m guaranteed for their star man. Despite pressure from ex-boss Thomas Frank and Tottenham Hotspur, who can offer Champions League football, Mbeumo is expected to eventually seal a move.
Matheus Cunha has already joined United in a £62.5m transfer and looks set to play a crucial role as one of the two attacking midfielders in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system.
Mbeumo specialises on the other side, potentially setting Amad up for a permanent tenancy as Amorim's right-wing-back.
Considering the 22-year-old is a natural attacker, the potential switch has sparked suggestions that there is a risk he will become unhappy with his new role.
However, Saha has strongly insisted that United can't allow that to happen, as much as an attacking upgrade as Cunha and Mbeumo represent.
"Nooo! No! No! If there are one or two players who should not leave, it is him and Bruno Fernandes," Saha told Express Sport with BetSelect.
"He is the kind of player who does not care where he plays. He has said it himself; he will play as a left-back or centre-back - he will just play."
Saha proceeded to aim fire at Amad's attacking teammates, who he believes, unlike the Ivorian talent, throw their weight around about the roles they play.
He continued: "Some other players will say, 'I want to play there' or 'I should be playing [in] this [position]'.
"Those players should shut up. Why? Because the result that we had last year is ridiculous.
"If you have got 20 goals, you can ask those things, maybe. But none of those players have scored more than 15 goals, and they are asking for things. It is crazy."
Amorim is overseeing an attacking overhaul in M16 this summer, sanctioning the sales of Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho.
Rasmus Hojlund also faces an uncertain future after scoring just four Premier League goals last season, but he reportedly wants to fight for his United future.
That said, it's claimed that, beyond Mbeumo, Amorim wants to use funds generated from player sales to sign a new striker to complete a refreshed front three.
