Tottenham Hotspur are interested to sign Ghanaian attacker this summer. The player has already impressed in Premier League and is also wanted by Chelsea. But, Spurs want to sign him on discount.
Spurs are willing to sign a new attacker this summer. They are back in Champions League after defeating Man United in the Europa League final. They have now made Thomas Frank their new coach. The former Brentford manager wants some new attackers and the board is backing him.
Spurs are keen to sign Bryan Mbeumo to reunite him with Frank. But, it is proving very hard for them. They are open to pay £70 million for him with Brentford ready to accept. But, the Cameroon international is willing to join United instead. Hence, they are now monitoring other players.
Tottenham shift their attention to another Premier League attacker
As a result, Spurs have shifted their attention to another winger. According to The Goal, they are trying to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United. The 24 year old is made available in the market and Chelsea are also showing interest.
Kudus has £85 million release clause in his current contract. But, the player’s form has dipped in the recent season due to which no club is ready to match those figures. As a result, Hammer have lowered their demands to £65 million this summer.
However, Spurs are still not convinced to pay £65 million. Instead, they are planning to sign Kudus for £50 million. It will be interesting to see what Hammers will make of this approach. But, Kudus will surely be a great addition to the Tottenham squad under Thomas Frank.
Chelsea are still focused on Jamie Gittens. The 20 year old is also keen to join them and personal terms have been agreed. He is being offered a 7 year contract and is expected to join after Club World Cup. Hence, Spurs moving ahead in Kudus race won’t be such a big blow for the Blues.
